I started a project called Squares That Care. It’s volunteer-based project which involves people creating 6”x6” granny squares, sending them to me to be assembled into an afghan and then raffled off in which all the proceeds will be donated to charity.
I’ll be accepting ongoing donations of any kind of granny square, knit or crocheted, any pattern or color. But I also have a challenge up for flower-themed squares to make a flower afghan. I know this is going to be a lot of work, and require a lot of participation, but I’m prepared and excited to see what this can evolve into. I also need any help I can to get this project off the ground, so please spread the word to anyone who might want to participate in making squares! Lets be creative for a cause!
